Family Photography Experience | Belfast
It’s lovely when we get a challenge to try something different, and that’s what happened when Hazel approached us about her family photography idea about recreating a photo that she had taken 30 yrs age by Leslie Stuart (legend photographer on the Lisburn Road who was the Dermot Murphy of the last generation).
It was of her two daughters, and we were to reshoot the picture with their daughters in their garden. On the day our kids were off school, and unusually they came with us as well as Hazel & Ray’s grandson and our pup! It was a beautiful summer’s day, and the garden was in full glory. We had a wonderful time, and they were so lovely to work with it was not work at all.
Ray,(a retired teacher) has created a fairy garden for the girls, and they are very involved in their grandchildren’s lives in a close and very loving way which you can see through the images.
When they came to the studio to see them, the brief was delivered, and they were thrilled with the results. We enhanced the original image and had it produced to display with the new one as well as putting together a selection of the images for all the family to share. (edited)
Ray had come in that day with a sore shoulder and was very uncomfortable. By the time he left, he had said he was cured!
“I went in with a pain in my shoulder and left with a pain in my wallet but a happy heart!”

The graduations are over for another season, and we are coming down to earth this morning. We can’t wait to show you your Gradaution Portraits when you come back to pick your favourites in the comming weeks. In the meantime take a well warned break and thank you for choosing us to capture your graduation day memories.
Gradutaing at Queen University Belfast? Read out top tips to have an really enjoyable Gradution Day!
Do I really need an official Graduation Portrait? Yes! The first thing to realise is that this bit is for the parents 😉 They are all over the official portrait to show off to the family and maybe even, (God help us!) put in the local paper!
We don’t want to alarm you, but the new parent is a complicated creature. Their state of mind is a little like the early stages of a drunk night out. They are euphoric! They have never been so in love!
We recently had the lovely Gemma in for her newborn photography session at our Belfast studio baby Theo along with husband Peter and toddler Jonah.
You CAN miss your graduation and still have graduation pictures to be proud of! Jason is a busy man and his plans for the summer do not leave room for his graduation ceremony. To make matters worse his sister has just emigrated to New Zealand this week!
Aoife came in for a session with us to capture her personality before she grows up too much. (She’s only 3 and already she is so tall for her age!)
Happy Birthday to your baby! This little dote was in for her first birthday shoot. Her Mum and Dad got pictures with her in her best clothes and that will be so precious to her in the future! We then went from pretty princess to covered in cake so what can a girl do but...
Happy Mother's Day!
The Kerr family have a new baby boy and he is beautiful!
